lol I do have to agree with this to a certain degree.

Keep in mind… sometimes the reason you’re having a low-self-esteem day is because the entire framework of our society is designed to make you feel inadequate.  Fat. Ugly. Worthless.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that.  But on those days… sometimes you need to take some extra to time to remind yourself that society is fucked… and you are worth so much more than it would have you believe.

OMG. My family and I have like… polarized political views.  And as the local election and primary results rolled in last night and they celebrated I wanted to SCREEEEEEEAM.

I love them dearly, but I want to throw things when they talk about politics and what Obama has and hasn’t done, and traditional values, and the war on religion and omg it just… makes me CRAZY.

So, I am ready for politics to be OVER.  Because seriously… a couple more newscasts and I may get myself disowned.

First things first: OMG THIS LOOKS FARKING AMAZING!!!  HOLY CRAP!

Ok, now that that’s out of the way:

Can I just point out that the person in these photos is an absolutely phenomenal human being?  Seriously?  I get Cancer, decide to buzz my hair (so I don’t have to watch it fall out during chemo) and host a party so that friends can be there to support me while I do it.  This AMAZING woman decides to drive 2.5 hours on a Sunday morning so she can be there for it.

AND THEN!  Because she’s not awesome enough already… she launches Operation Sidecut Solidarity.  That absolutely fantastic side-cut is for MEEEE (ok, for HER too but still).

I feel loved.  And I totally intend to take a chunk of credit for this because it looks HAWT!

A good day so far.  Waiting on the call from Home Health Nurse Extraordinaire… this may be the last day she has to come out. Wound vac is tiny tiny, today is a measuring day so it should be interesting to see where we’re at at this point.

Tomorrow is Oncology day.  Going to see Dr. Kehoe, discuss the final treatment decisions and scheduling, and hopefully get clearance to drive again.  It’ll be the first internal exam since my hysterectomy so should get a good status report I hope

Family keychains arrived today… they have a cross on them with a peach ribbon in the center and the words Faith,Family on them.  Good for giving to my family.  The ones I ordered for Sunday have NOT arrived yet… but should be here on Friday according to the tracking.  :fingers crossed:

In other news… not a bad day so far. Had a big storm last night and supposedly a second is headed through shortly.  Didn’t sleep very much unfortunately, will have to talk to Dr. Kehoe on Thursday and see if there’s anything else we can do maybe.

Not much else to report.  Hanging on till Sunday, see my friends, Sandy, get my buzz cut on… it’ll be good to see everyone.  It’s been ages sine I’ve seen some of my friends… more than a year in some cases. I’ve been so tired and so sick for so long- even before diagnosis… I haven’t seen hardly anyone.  It’ll be nice.  I miss my girls.
